I'm James, a law graduate in Wellington, New Zealand. Here are a couple of things I have made. These aren't part of my day job, so I work on them as and when I can.
WhereTheyStand is a site I built to aggregate information about New Zealand's members of Parliament and their voting histories. I've also developed a secondary election results site (which is a work in progress), with the aim of providing election results in a more interactive format than is usually available in New Zealand.
Headlice is a simple crawler I've had running since January 2021 that captures the leading headline on RNZ News every 30 minutes. You can ask Headlice for a random headline, and it will pick a time and remind you of the story at the top of people's minds at that moment.
